I had one thing I should do…the last day of my travel

April 30, 2010 2 comments

This is my last day in the Philippines.

I already packed my bag at the previous day. Having breakfast and checking out were what I should do at the last day.

In order to catch my flight, I had to leave the hotel at least 10:30 because traffic jam often happened around the airport. I woke up at 8 o’clock. I had enough time to do something.

I had been thinking about one thing since I arrived at the hotel. There was a strange but attractive sign nearby hotel. Every time I passed through it, it drew my attention. Always “what is it? It looks so funny” was in my mind.

With my own words, my adventure became more exciting…the third day of my travel Vol.2

“Ummm…what should I do from now?” was what I thought when I was back to the hotel. Flipping through the guidebook, I tried to figure out where I should visit.

“Oh, LRT…Light Rail Transit…yeah, I think I should get on this. O.K. So…where should I go? Shopping malls sound nice. Glorietta…Robinson’s… I have to take a bus to go to Glorietta, not only by trains, I can visit Robinson’s. Trains would be better.” Both of Glorietta and Robinson’s were circling in brain. Robinson’s was where I decided to go.

A lot of interesting things made me hungry…the third day of my travel Vol.1

April 19, 2010 2 comments

This is the first half of the third day in my travel in March.

I had no plan to do in the morning this day, so I decided to get out from the hotel and take some pictures.

“Mr, what would you do? Going out alone? I think I should be with you.” said the staff of the hotel. “Don’t worry. I think I can handle it. I’m just going to take a walk along the main street.” answered I to him. It’s quite dangerous for the Japanese to walk on a backstreet alone. That’s why he worried about me.

The hero lies in you…the second day of my travel Vol.2

April 17, 2010 2 comments

This is the last half of the second day in my travel in March. It’s already half past April! I think I should write this series more quickly!

I went to the “Fort Santiago”, which used to be a fortress in Intramuros. The Philippine was an colony to Spain. In 1600s, the Spaniards built this fortress and lived in it. After the war between Spain and America, the fortress was used for American and British, and the Japanese militaries occupied it under the Pacific war. Intramuros itself has a long wall and the Fort Santiago is a part of Intramuros. Intramuros in Spanish literally means “within walls.”

Getting around…the second day of my travel Vol.1

April 7, 2010 6 comments

I finally got a time to write a journal about my travel in the Philippines. This time, I’ll introduce the first half of the second day in Phil.

I woke up in the morning as usual. No appointment in the morning, so I took a walk around the hotel. The hotel I stayed at has commercial facilities, such as Jollibee. Even though I had the advice from my friends like “Don’t get around alone”, I didn’t think it was dangerous to get around as long as I was in the facilities.

A lot of exciting things in Phil…the first day of my travel Vol.2

The last half of the first day.

Thanks to the man who had bad breath, I could get much sleep in the airplane.

The terminal 2 in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport was my front door in this travel. With my disembarkation card in my hand, I made my way to the immigration. As I wrote at the previous journal, there were many middle-aged Japanese in the same airplane. For the Philippines, the Japanese are still important customers even if we are under disastrous recessions. “Japanese, here!” staff pointed out a few gates.

Finally, I’d arrived at the Philippines.

His breath made me anxious…the 1st day of my travel Vol.1

March 24, 2010 4 comments

Hi, there. I’m back. 😀 Many friends were worried about my travel before I left Japan. First, this was my first time to fly. Second, it was said that travels for Philippines were quite dangerous for the first timer. Thanks to much advice from my friends, I enjoyed my trip and spent my time without any accident. This time, I’ll write an article when I was in the airport, CENTRAIR.
