So is 1974 the year you were born? What’s that make your chinese zodiac animal? Or your greek one? And what kinda books? Just curious.

      Hello, Mugami, how are you?

Yeah, I was born in 1974, and my chinese zodiac animal is a tiger, tora doshi 😀 And my greek zodiac is Libra. In Japan, Libra is used as a symbol of lawyer in their badges. How about lawyers in America?

Books… I love mystery and SF books. As Japanese authors, Seishi Yokomizo, Takemaru Abiko, Yasuo Uchida, Kaoru Kurimoto, Chiaki Kawamata, etc. As foreign authors, Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen, Dan Brown, Phili K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, H.P.Lovecraft, etc. Unfortunately, I haven’t read only translated ones execpt Agatha Christie and Dan Brown, so I’m going to read the original ones 😀

  3. October 10, 2009 at 3:54 am

HA! In america, the only animal we associate lawyers with are snakes! We call them by their other title, if they have one. Like a D.A. is the attorney for the government. We don’t have a nice outlook on lawyers here. That made me howl! I had to explain why I was laughing to my coworkers. Then, we all howled! (to ‘howl’ OR ‘howl in laughter’ refers to a loud outburst of laughter, the knee-slapping kind.) 🙂 🙂 🙂

If you’re a lawyer by degree (as opposed to being a self-made business man by trade), don’t take offense. Me: 1983, Boar, Leo. Just to be fair. What kind of business do you run? Do you have any hobbies? Or favorite movies?

      Hi, Mugami, how are you?

      >the only animal we associate lawyers with are snakes!

Oh, snakes? Really? Snakes…let us think of them as a lucky animal. In Japan, it is said that you should put sloughs of snakes into your wallet.

Well…strictly speaking, I am not a lawyer, but other qualified job relating to laws. I can’t stand in the court but I can make a lot of kinds of documents. It’s gonna be a long story, so I’m going to put this topics into my aritcles when I have a chance.

  5. October 29, 2009 at 10:53 pm

You should email me so I can give you my phone number. We could help each other alot I think.

Oh, you’ll give your number to me? Thank you so much… but let me think… I think it would be better by using skype or something rather than calling. What do you think?

Talking oversea by phone might make us go bankrupt…right? 😀

You can use Skype to call a cell phone. My friend, Sean, does it. But it is true that I don’t know what my phone plan entails for overseas calls. So perhaps, a brief call at first would not cost too much for me. If it does cost me anything. Then, I’ll check my bill for the month, see if it did, and blog you back the answer. 😉 It’ll be a piece of cake.

      November 16, 2009 at 3:27 pm

Call your cell by Skype? Oh, is it ok to talk with each other by only Skype, not cell? I mean, we sit in front of our own PC, connect ourselves by each Skype, and start chatting or talking. How about that?

But you have to hear this. You already know how bad my writing skills in English. My speaking skills in English…it is…a disaster, so You might be depressed with me… 😆

‘Disappointed’ not ‘depressed’, Potter. 😉 And one prob with the skype to skype thing, I use my friend’s internet. I only have the net on my phone. The only times I can use it are on tuesdays between, like, 10pm-4am. Which makes that about, what, like 8am-12pm your time? I mean I might be able to but I thought that would be right in the middle of your workday.

And I understand about every third word I hear in japanese (writing it’s a different matter) so understand you shouldn’t be as hard as you think. 😉 Just take your time. Besides, isn’t the idea to learn to speak english? You gotta start somewhere, right? Haven’t you ever heard the saying, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”? Think of that whole cat that walked 3,000 ri you got in your folklore. He had to take each ri in steps, didn’t he? It might be hard, it might be scary, but the point is to try. How’s it go? Ganbarimasho!!!

      Hi,Mugami, how are you? 😀

I’m so touched that you said like that. Yeah, I’ve always been thinking about what you said; ‘A journey of….’ I’m just wondering how much it’s going to cost. As a matter of fact, I have ever called my friend before(not American), and then I was surprised with the bill of my cell-phone 😀 So I just suggested we should use Skype. But I do want to have opportunities to talk with you.

8am 12pm in Japan…It’s perfectly my working time…but I’ll handle it. I’m quite busy this week because I have an exam on Sunday, but next Tuesday, it’s O.K. 😀 Next week, we’ll check when we should be online again. 😀

Wow! My errors are nearly ironical in that last post. Anyway, 3-8= -5, so I’m five hours behind the posted time at the bottom. Now, do the same to yours and that will tell us exactly when we would be able to talk. Get it, Potter?

      November 23, 2009 at 7:22 pm

      Hi, Mugami!

Actually, I don’t know how time difference is between us. It would be 5 hours as time difference? By the way, could we put our talk off next Thursday?(I mean, Dec 3) Yesterday, I got a new task from my client and it’s the urgent one. I must do it until this Friday.

Anyways, let’s check what time we would be able to talk. 😀

  11. November 24, 2009 at 7:00 am

Alright, right now, here, where I’m at, it is 2:01 am. And tuesday.

  12. November 24, 2009 at 7:34 am

Okay. It says under my comment I posted at 7:00 am. That means I’m 5 hours behind the server that runs your blog. The reason this is so important is because, my tuesday could be your monday or wednesday, because of the time zone difference. So you absolutely MUST post a comment that tells me the time it is where you are and the day or date. So I can figure out EXACTLY when AND what day I can call you. After all if we are on opposite days you could be expecting me to call you on thursday at noon and I don’t call you until friday because that might be my ‘thursday’ here. I know this might be a little hard to get because of our language barrier, so just leave a comment with the time and date (like I just did). I can figure it out for the both of us. 😉 As for thursday, it depends on this. I can call you on tuesday and wednesday, after 11 pm. Which is 4 am, on wednesday and thursday for the server your blog is on! This is why I need you to post the time/date thing. It’s a pain, I know, but it must be done. 😉

  13. November 24, 2009 at 8:55 am

Nevermind. I’ve figured it out! I’m 14 hours behind you. So if a called you at 11 pm on wednesday, it would be 1 pm on thursday for you. So I can talk anywhere between 1 pm – 5 pm, next thursday, in ‘japan-time’.

Hi, Mugami, I’m so sorry I was late to reply.

I have something to apologize to you. The setting on time in this blog…is default, so I think we would need to check again. First of all, I couldn’t find where you live in your blog, so please tell me about that.(So sorry if you already wrote it in your blog)

Anyway, I’m looking forward to talking with you online 😀

  14. November 30, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Yeah, I knew it was default. It’s set to Grenwich Mean Time. And I’m in Pennsylvania, USA. But like I said. I figured it out. No worries. And don’t worry about apologizing. No biggie. I don’t get offended easily. Hey, here’s a question: Did you ever visit my blog? Oh, and how’d that project go you had the deadline for?
